The Nike LeBron 12 has been officially unveiled and, with its mix of the new Hex-Zoom sole system and Megafuse-constructed upper, early indications are that it’s a game-changing innovation. So how about some colorways?Today we look ahead to the first seven editions of LeBron’s latest, including each aesthetic’s inspiration and release date. We’ve already gone in-depth on the shoe’s technology and design itself — for that, check out the unveiling article here — so let’s dispense with the formalities and get down to specifics.Check out all seven below, each inspired by LeBron’s unique physical gifts and the science that went into engineering the 12, including the heretofore unseen “Trillion Dollar Man” edition.Nike LeBron 12 NSRL — October 11Despite his freakish physique, LeBron was created in a lab, but the Nike Sports Research Lab — for which this colorway is named — has helped maximize his abilities through testing and data-analysis.Nike LeBron 12 Heart of a Lion — October 30LeBron has often been analogized to a lion, and his courageousness on the court underscores the comparison.Nike LeBron 12 Dunk Force — November 11A new take on the usual “Dunkman” concept, this year’s derives from the power of LeBron’s dunk, which is equated to the speed and force of a helicopter blade.Nike LeBron 12 Instinct — November 22LeBron’s body is sculpted in a gym, but his instincts, eyesight and agility are innate, like the instinctual navigation of a hummingbird.Nike LeBron 12 Meridian — November 29LeBron has incorporated massage therapy into his recovery routines. This colorway is a nod to the ancient Chinese art of reflexology, which releases energy to different meridians (points of the body) when pressure points are stimulated.Nike LeBron 12 Trillion Dollar Man — December 1Comparing LeBron James, with his preternatural skills, physique and work ethic, to the athlete of the future. A la “The Six Million Dollar Man,” presumably.Nike LeBron 12 Data — December 20LeBron is the world’s best basketball player, and the statistics — the data — support that statement.
The Nike LeBron 12 comes together a bit more today, as we get photos of the completed shoe in profile, offering edification as to what the shoe’s actually going to look like. (Not that the tongue, sole and not-quite-completed images we previewed a couple weeks ago weren’t helpful.) The early answer: impressive. There’s not much to add today that we haven’t covered before — outsole still boasts an eye-popping new design, the mesh-based upper is still a huge departure from previous models, we still expect unrivaled performance from the shoe.Stay tuned for better photos, further details and a Nike LeBron 12 release date as they develop. Shouldn’t be long.Photos via KoD.

No information about them yet, but I’m sure they’ll wind up at least hitting Foot Locker’s House of Hoops stores, if not a wider release. Pictures from Getty Images by way of Yahoo Sports and NBAE.
