The Nike LeBron X Elite release date is set for Saturday, April 20th, the premiere colorway of LeBron’s postseason-Plus shoe. (The Kobe 8 Elite and KD V Elite drop that day as well.)The LeBron X Elite sports all the impressive tech upgrades of the standard Elite — stuff like Kevlar aramid reinforcement to add stability but not bulk and an articulated foam tongue for impact protection — with Nike Plus added as well, allowing an in-shoe sensor to sync up with a phone app to measure and report every aspect of the wearer’s game.First up will be a clean, simple colorway, with black carbon fiber and contrast gold accents set against a stark white upper, further contrasted by black speckling on the midsole and gold on the outsole. Expect limited quantities and thus, most likely, a quick sellout.Nike LeBron X P.S. Elite White/Metallic Gold-BlackStyle #: 579834-10020 April 2013$280
Nike Air Max LeBron VII DC Artist Series Cynthia RudzisIf you recall from the “Air Max LeBron VII Chicago” article, there will be several city-inspired Air Max LeBron VII’s releasing to tie in with the upcoming LBJ documentary “More Than a Game.” And for each new city release, one pair will be a designed by a local designer and gifted to LeBron. Well the DC pair releases tomorrow, a whopping 123 pairs are available to the general public, so the specially-made-for-LeBron Air Max LeBron VII artist series was unveiled today. The shoe, designed by tattoo artist Cynthia Rudzis, is a white-based LeBron VII with text and pictures “tattooed” on the upper, in this case incorporating stars, stripes and an arrow-bearing eagle paying homage to the nation’s capital. These will not release to the public, but the white/green Air Max LeBron VII DC kicks will, and I’ll post them in a few minutes.Done, check out the article here.Nike Air Max LeBron VII DC Artist Series Cynthia RudzisNike Air Max LeBron VII DC Artist Series Cynthia RudzisNike Air Max LeBron VII DC Artist Series Cynthia Rudzis
One of the most iconic images of LeBron James’s first tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers was the 10-story mural in downtown Cleveland, featuring LeBron doing his signature chalk-toss while wearing a Cavs uniform?and?accompanied by the words “We Are All Witnesses.”Likewise, one of the most enduring images of LeBron’s exit to Miami was of workers in Cleveland disassembling that massive billboard (pictured below), as the city scrubbed the favorite son from its collective memory.Well the King is back and all is forgiven, and Nike is prepared to mark the occasion with a new mural. This time however, the view is reversed, with the prodigal son?facing the legions of fans in?the crowd, and his back facing the city. “CLEVELAND” appears above his number 23, rather than “JAMES,” and no script accompanies the image, which is finished with a simple Swoosh. The new LeBron James Cleveland Nike billboard is still in the planning phases. The image, which would adorn the Landmark Office Towers, needs to be approved by the Cleveland City Planning Commission due to its unusually large size.Via Cleveland.com.
