LeBron’s twelfth signature shoe has been caught in a team purgatory of sorts so far, designed while he was still with the Heat, and thus bereft of Cavs-specific colorways, though that’s where he’ll be playing during the coming season. (Although, thanks to both squads sporting red, a couple colorways so far are more or less?interchangable.) As a nice change of pace, the latest colorway ignores all of that, coming straight out of left field. Heat related? Nope. Cavs inspired? Not at all. Wildly eye-popping? In spades. One of the first editions to feature a patterned overlay, the Nike LeBron 12 Orange/Volt rocks a bright orange mesh construction, set off by volt branding and blue accents. Then comes that overlay, which starts out grey with a slight orange gradient, before striking volt streaks run the length of the piecing. It’s an aggressive look, undoubtedly, but then LeBron’s shoes have never really been about playing it safe. How do you like this beacon of brightness?Photos via SuppliedPDX.

Sporting a largely white and black look, contrasted with bits of red, this LeBron 9 sports Freegums’ signature supernatural art printed over the toebox and inner-lining, giving it an entirely unique look. Certainly one of the most creative, eye-catching LeBron 9’s to date, there’s no release announced yet. Stick with NB though, and we’ll get you details as they emerge.
