Well perhaps these new pictures will change that. We now have glimpses of a couple of colorways and thankfully they’re not triple blacks, meaning we can get a good look at the details of the shoe.As has tended to be the case with the LeBrons, we can see a pretty clear evolution from the past models. The Air Max LeBron VII again incorporates that same patent leather on the toe and sides, although this time they mercifully get rid of the strap. Again we see a lot of flywire through the side panels as well as a full length air unit, this time Air Max rather than Zoom. The colorways all look pretty fly so far (except that triple black, but that doesn’t look good on any shoe); the white/black-gold is pretty similar to one of the flagship Zoom LeBron VI from a year ago and it again looks pretty dope. The black/black-green is a pretty nice look as far as all-black shoes go; the green outsole and air unit creates a nice contrast. And finally the white/red is really nice in that it incorporates all the aspects of the LeBron VII plus it puts a layer of that woven material we’ve been seeing on everything from Dunks to AF1’s lately. The word is that we’re still looking at an October 2009 release date. Important to keep in mind, however, is that this is still a preview model and small or significant design aspects can still change. A couple of things to mention: This is a Grade School model, so obviously things could change, either just scale-wise or otherwise; This is an early model, meaning significant design aspects could change. Anyway, this is being called the Zoom LeBron 7 although it appears to have Max Air throughout sole rather than Zoom, and it looks like they’re staying away from straps on this one (thank you). Also, Nike continues to go nuts with the flywire, but I guess why not. The Nike Zoom LeBron VII is scheduled to release in October 2009, while this LeBron 7 Triple Black is set for a December drop date.Previous story R Sneaker from Jay-Z and RocawearNext story Tomorrow: Air Toki TZRelated PostsAir Max LeBron VIIJuly 7, 2009Air Max LeBron VIIJune 26, 2009Zoom/Air Max LeBron VIIJune 25, 2009FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form. (Well, maybe the LeBron X Volt can hold a candle to it, in terms of flashiness.)The shoe sports an eye-catching metallic silver over the entire upper, so metallic in fact that it sports an almost iridescent sheen. That’s complemented by a teal inner-lining and outsole, and contrasted by black on the midsole and laces. A bit of orange on the Swoosh border then completes the colorway, which I have to think will be extremely in demand if and when it launches. We’re still waiting on solid LeBron X Platinum release info, but with the LeBron X PS Elite on the way, we may see more colorways of the standard edition sooner than later; stay tuned.Photos via Ebay.Previous story Nike Free Inneva Woven SP “Photo Blue”Next story Nike SB Dunk High ST.
