There aren’t a ton of drops set for this weekend, but this is a big one. The Nike LeBron 9 ‘Freegums’ release date is finally here, with the shoe, designed by Miami-based artist Alvaro Ilizarbe aka Freegums, set to hit stores tomorrow, December 31st. Featuring a largely black and white makeup with some contrasting red accents, this colorway sports a unique print by Freegums covering the inner-lining of the shoe and the tissue paper that comes in the box. With the summer months coming up, time to start chopping down some of the hoops models to not only alter their performance style, but make them a more viable off-court option. Today we get a look at the Nike LeBron 9 Low Red/Mint, release date scheduled as within the Fall 2012 collection (which happens to release closer to summer). This one sports red over the Hyperfuse upper (the lowtop sports that no-sew tech over most of the upper), contrasted by bluish green accenting around the Swoosh, in the Air unit and on the outsole.
