The special edition Nike LeBron 9 ‘China’ release date is still a ways off, which of course means there’s plenty of time to get excited about it. The LeBron 9 “China” is inspired by the Chinese zodiac’s year of the dragon, with a light blue upper, contrasting orange Swoosh and a dragon mural printed across the tongue. And to add to the already-premium look, the shoe will come complete with special edition packaging and a LeBron t-shirt. And, if you’re Nike, a time to mark the occasion by releasing a plethora of wildly attractive thematic footwear. The Nike LeBron 11 Black History Month release is expected within a few weeks, for example, an outstanding new spin on King James’s popular hoops model.Embracing intricate detailing, the shoe sports a predominantly black-and-grey build with purple complementing on the inner-lining, Flywire and outsole. A striking, African-inspired print adorns the Hyperposite panels meanwhile, adding a bit of detail and storytelling to the shoe, while a reflective pattern is also present in the solid Hyperfuse trim.As for what the decanters of cognac and cigars in the background of these photos have to do with Black History Month, that I couldn’t say; I didn’t take them. We just shared a first look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Black History Month, so what better time than now to unveil the Nike LeBron 9 Black History Month, release date as yet unannounced. (But the Kobe BHM hits on February 11th, so … very possibly then.) Unlike the Kobe, which goes for a multi-colored exterior, LeBron’s BHM colorway adds that color pattern to the inner-lining, while hitting the exterior with solid black and grey trim. Hit the jump for a full look, and stick with NB for more photos and details.
