The Nike LeBron 9 ‘Miami Hurricanes’ release date was initially slated for October 14th, along with the Ohio State and Kentucky pairs, but being that we haven’t heard anything on that for a few weeks, stay with us for further details. I hate to keep hammering you with shoes you won’t have a chance at buying — Foamposite customs here and here — but these are too hot to pass up. Designed for LeBron James’s alma mater, the Nike LeBron 9 St.Vincent St. Mary ‘Away’ sports gold over much of the upper, set off by forest green trim and the occasional white accent. Finishing off the look, the school’s mascot name, the Fighting Irish, is represented on the tongue with “IRISH.” Unfortunately, it’s not looking like these will hit stores, but hit the jump for another look. This one, as one can clearly see, takes its inspiration from the yellow taxis of NYC. The shoe is currently available in limited quantities at the House of Hoops in Harlem, as well as the NYC Foot Lockers at Times Square, 34th Street (Manhattan), Fordham Rd (Bronx), and King’s Plaza (Brooklyn). OSneaker.com also has them. So if you like copious amounts of yellow and black on your feet (don’t we all …), these are for you.
